Sharon and Franklin
I was lucky enough to be recommended to Sharon and Franklin by a good friend of mine who has worked with Franklin on video projects at NASA. Their amazing wedding was at the Hampton University chapel which is one of the most structurally beautiful churches I’ve seen. The arches inside are incredible and the stained glass is really something. Sharon and Franklin celebrated the night with family and friends at the Virginia Air and Space Museum in Hampton, where Sharon once worked. She always thought it would be a great place to have a reception. One of the things the couple really wanted to do was get some pictures of the two of them on the carousel nearby. We were able to do that before the reception began and had a lot of fun with it. Here are my favorites from the night.

Melissa and Scott
I had a chance to travel to the Outer Banks for Melissa and Scott’s wedding at the beautiful Bald View Inn at Kitty Hawk. I really enjoy getting down there and the Outer Banks is a great place for a destination wedding. Melissa and Scott had their reception at the newly renovated Pier at the Hilton Garden Inn. It’s a pretty cool place with the soaring ceilings. The whole crew had a really fun time dancing and getting down. I really enjoyed getting to know you guys and talking about Africa (Melissa and Scott honeymooned there as did Terri and I almost ten years ago!). Here are some pics from the day.

Blakely & Mike
I traveled up to Virginia Tech at Blacksburg for Blakely and Mike’s special day. That weekend, a Nor’easter followed me and stalled over Blacksburg for the entire weekend. It was crazy weather but made for some beautiful lighting for the pictures. Mike is part of the German Club at Tech, who are known for their choreographed dances. They performed and outdid themselves during the reception. This couple was really special and we had a great time. Thanks, Blakely and Mike, for asking me to be a part of your wedding. Here are some of my favorites of the weekend.

Back to Bloggin’ with Teresa & Joe
Well, we’re finally catching up on all our outstanding blog posts to wrap up the weddings for 2008. Teresa and Joe were married at the Fort Story Club in Virginia Beach and had their rockin’ reception there too! The setting was beautiful and even though it was a pretty windy day, we caught some great shots on the beach after the ceremony. Here a my favorites from the day.

Kristin + Shawn
Okay, Okay…I know it’s been a while since you’ve seen a wedding on here and I must admit, things had been crazy over the holidays, so I’m going to try and wrap up my weddings from 2008 very shortly. Be on the lookout for several AWESOME weddings to come!
With that said, here’s Kristin and Shawn. They were married in the backyard of a friend’s house, which happened to be on the water and was really beautiful. From there, we headed to the beach for some pics and then headed over to the Contemporary Arts Center in Virginia Beach, where they threw one heck of a party! A couple of my favorite moments were when the Chicho’s pizza delivery was made at the end of the evening for everyone to get a slice and the decorated bikes the two rode away on in route to their hotel. (Kristin and Shawn met at Chicho’s, so they thought it would cool to celebrate that.) Great wedding, you two, and congratulations!!
