Stephanie + Steve
Stephanie and Steve had an incredible wedding recently at the First Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach, followed by a super fun reception at Orion’s Roof at the Cavalier Ocean Front Hotel. I think the most special part about their wedding was their family and friends who came to P-A-R-T-Y!!! Special thanks to Michelle Kilgore, with Weddings by Michelle, who worked with Stephanie and her Mom and took care of all the details. Congrats you two!

Rachel + Tony
Rachel and Tony were recently married at one of my favorite churches to photograph, St. Luke’s, in Smithfield. I believe it’s dated as the oldest remaining church in America and it’s right here in our backyard. Although the couple had one of the HOTTEST days of the year, nothing stood in their way to having a blast! The reception was held at the Smithfield Center, where Jody’s crew from Sweetwater Cuisine did a fantastic job with the catering and Ann Coke from Petals of Smithfield created the beautiful flowers. Congrats you two!!

Kudos for Terri
The Norfolk Botanical Gardens is having an exhibit called “Children in the Garden.” The exhibit will begin August 2nd at Baker Hall. Terri recently took Maddox out there and submitted four photos from the session for consideration to be entered in the exhibit. This print, entitled “The Canal,” was chosen and will be displayed along with others at the exhibit. There were many, many images turned in for the show, but only 40 were selected to hang. Great job, Angel!

Melissa + Travis
Melissa and Travis celebrated their nuptials recently in Melissa’s family backyard in Windsor. Melissa is an ex-student of mine from the Visual Arts Center, who is a very talented photographer in her own right. When she approached me about photographing her wedding, I jumped at the chance, as I knew her wedding would be a little different;)). I felt right at home, being from Mississippi, as the pig cooked and the catfish sizzled. After the ceremony, the couple’s family and friends were entertained by a local band, Sweetwater Project, who rocked throughout the night. Even an uncle got on stage to perform with his harmonica and sang a few songs. I think the following pictures say a lot about how the day went with it’s laid back atmosphere. Everyone had a blast, including myself! Thanks again for letting me be a part of your incredible day!

4th of July
I just wanted to share some pictures from our parade and cookout that we had in the neighborhood on July 4th. It was a great day even though it was pretty darn hot! This was our first parade in Larchmont, organized by my wife, Terri. All our neighbors did a great job decorating the bikes, trikes, and razors. We had our local community resource officers escort us down the street to the elementary school where the kids were able to explore a ladder truck from Engine No. 7. Thank you so much to the local police and fire men who keep us safe, work really hard, and are there to make events like this memorable for our kids. Thanks again to all our wonderful neighbors who brought so many delicious dishes to the cookout. It was a fun day for all and I think we just may have started a tradition here!
