Lensbaby Christmas
I finally got around to getting of few of my Christmas pictures up. Terri gave me this cool lens called Lensbaby 3G. It has a bellows so you can selectively focus on your subject. I shot with it all day and below are some of the results. This lens will definitely get some use at weddings (for the artsy stuff).

Brooke + Sean
Well, I’m down to my last two weddings for the blog. This one I’m about to post and the one I’m shooting in NOVA this weekend. Brooke and Sean…I had a blast with you, your friends and your family. Beginning with the ceremony held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in downtown Portsmouth and reception at the Portsmouth Renaissance (btw, I love shooting at that hotel), everyone had a great time. Both Brooke and Sean are doctors in the U.S. Navy and I just found out Brooke will be heading to Afghanistan at the beginning of the year. Not much of a honeymoon.:( Be safe, Brooke, and God’s speed!

Mary Kathryn + McCoy
Man, what fun it was to photograph Mary Kathryn and McCoy’s wedding held at First Lutheran in Norfolk, with their reception held at the Norfolk Yacht Club. Mary Kathryn is also known as WooWoo from The Morning Point with Chuck, Jenna and WooWoo on 94.9 The Point radio station. From my past meetings with MK and McCoy, I knew their wedding was going to be special. It was the first time I had shot at the church, which is incredible. The reception band, Right On, was probably the best wedding band I’ve ever heard. They’re local, so if you’re looking for a band for your wedding, you have to check them out! If you can’t think of what to get that certain someone for Christmas, take a look at the boots one of the band members was wearing (I’ve included a picture in this post). The perfect gift! Thanks, you two, for letting me and everyone else have such a great time!
I thought WooWoo was done for the night, but she came back strong!
Sarah + Aaron
Sarah and Aaron had a beautiful wedding at the Botanical Garden’s Rose Garden gazebo and the reception was held at the Rose Garden Hall. It was a glorious Fall day and the guests enjoyed the “big band” type music. Sweetwater Cuisine provided the fabulous spread of food. Being a Mississippi boy, I just love the southern style food they do so well! Everything else was top notch, too, including the flowers by Daevid and of course, Weddings By Michelle was on top of the game again! Here are some of my favorites from Sarah and Aaron’s wedding.

Hieu + Beejay
It’s funny how the holidays seem to get in the way of work.;)) It’s been a while for blogging…again! I’m trying to get all of my weddings caught up this week, so be on the lookout. With that said, let’s take a look at Hieu and Beejay’s recent wedding held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Va. Beach and reception at the Founders Inn. The Inn is always a great place to photograph weddings. There’s alot of nooks and crannies to find. You just have to look for them. Hieu and Beejay changed from their wedding attire to their traditional custom outfits half way through the reception. Enjoy!
