I had the pleasure of photographing Tonya and Paige’s wedding recently on the Peninsula. The reception was held at the Marriott at Newport News City Center and it was the first time I had photographed there. I always dig being able to shoot a new location! The details of the wedding and reception were right on due to Michelle Kilgore’s exceptional work. Tonya and Paige had Michelle’s team do special lighting in the reception room. The lighting really adds a beautiful quality to the pictures. Great work! I hope you enjoy these pictures from Tonya and Paige’s fabulous wedding.

Stacey and Richie had a really unique wedding and incorporated a lot of details that spoke of who they are. For example, the groom’s cake topper was one-of-a-kind. Richie loves to hunt but I have a feeling that Stacey won’t have to go to this extreme to get him to come out of the woods. Stacey’s dress was amazing! It actually stood up on it’s own for this shot! She looked beautiful in it.

Back in the Spring, I traveled up to James Madison University to meet up with Allie and Jason for their e-session. JMU is a special place for them and any chance I can get near the mountains is all right with me! We had a great time and I was happy to do something that would have a lot of meaning for them. Their wedding was in September in Virginia Beach. I think the light around this time of year is beautiful and the beach shots we did capture that gorgeous blue the sky becomes during this season. I guess this “getting the garter shot” has got to be one of my all time favorites for that shot!
